IPad Clone Will Appear In 2010

Intel's competitors in the microprocessor market, ARM believes will lead to the emergence of competition iPad in the tablet market.
ARM trust, there will be at least 50 types of tablet PCs that will be circulated in the market this year. ARM quite optimistic about this, to the extent they apply to lease additional space to display his 'weapons' they were exhibited at Computex Electronics Trade Show in Taipei.
In addition to tablets, ARM believes homemade chips will also be attractive for use in eReaders, mini laptops, and other devices.
"The first tablet device will be launched in the second quarter by holding the service provider. Device like this would be more and more popping up in the third quarter," said ARM Worldwide ODM Manager Mobile Computing Roy Chen, as quoted by PC World on Thursday 03/11/2010) .
According to Chen, the tablet PC-like device is mostly to be launched in China, although many companies will be poured in various parts of the world, including the 10 largest telecom operators in the world. Unfortunately, Chen declined to say specifically company names are mentioned.
In the Computex exhibition in Taipei, ARM features two tablet PC device that will be marketed in the foreseeable future. Both the tablet PC using a mobile OS Google's Android.
One tablet device is besutan Compal Electronics, a Taiwanese electronics manufacturer that also manufactures the largest mobile device to two in the world. The device is equipped with 7-inch screen and uses Nvidia Tegra chip 2, which is included in Core's line of ARM chips. Compal itself offers two versions of the tablet PC, one OS to Android and others using Microsoft Windows CE, and two types of screen sizes, 7 inches and 10 inches. The device is also equipped with HDMI slot that can connect the tablet with high-definition TV.
Other tablets appear more modest, called Armadillo, has a screen size smaller than Compal. Armadillo uses ARM core chips from Freescale Semiconductor, similar to the Android OS, and enables quick system boot-up, made by Japanese software company called Ubiquitous.
